A method and an apparatus for posttreatment of the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine in which particles contained in the exhaust gas are at least partly eliminated with the at least intermittent use of an oxidatively acting aid, and in a further step, an at least partial removal of nitric oxides from the exhaust gas is effected, and the oxidatively acting means is delivered to the exhaust gas in metered fashion in such a way that the removal of nitric oxides from the exhaust gas is reinforced. |
