This invention relates to a method for producing 1-[2-(benzimidazol-2-ylthio)ethyl]piperadine (5) or its salt by the following reaction scheme: n nThis invention enables efficient production of 1-[2-(benzimidazol-2-ylthio) ethyl]piperadine or its salt which is an intermediate in the production of a cyclic diamine compound which is useful as a ACAT inhibitor. |
