abstract Methods and apparatuses for the separation of particles in a fluid provide for a container to enclose the fluid mixture containing particles and at least one transducer to create a wave action within the fluid. A gradient driver may be included to increase the particle separation. Inlet ports may be attached to add additional components or fluid to the mixture and outlet ports may be attached to remove the separated particles.
