titleOfInvention | Ink supply arrangement with improved ink flows |
abstract | A portable inkjet printer comprises an elongate pagewidth printhead having a plurality of ink supply passages, an elongate pagewidth ink distribution manifold connected to the printhead and an elongate pagewidth ink supply unit connected to the manifold. The ink supply unit includes at least one storage chamber for holding ink for supply to the manifold. Within the storage chamber are one or more internal formations that act to reduce excessive acceleration of ink within the storage chamber as may be induced by movement of the portable printer, whilst allowing for flows of the ink from the storage chamber to the manifold in response to active demand from said printhead. |
