abstract An apparatus for degassing a coupling fluid for use with a high intensity ultrasound system is disclosed. The apparatus has a fluid circuit having a vacuum chamber, a circulating pump, a vacuum pump and optional sensors for detecting one or more fluid parameters, such as dissolved gases. The coupling fluid may also serve as a coolant for a HIFU transducer.
