abstract A radial shaft seal with a sealing element made of a non-woven fabric impregnated with an active material, particularly PTFE. The shaft seal is disposed between a stationary machine part and a rotating shaft. In the axial direction, the sealing element consists of at least one layer of non-woven fabric impregnated with a PTFE dispersion and laminated under pressure and heat.
