titleOfInvention Huntington's disease gene transcriptional factors
abstract The present invention provides an isolated and purified transcriptional factors for the Huntington's disease gene, which have the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 2 or SEQ ID No. 4 as a protein factor associated with the transcription of the Huntington's disease gene product. The invention also provides a polynucleotides encoding such transcriptional factors. These inventions are useful in the development of a therapeutic technology for an artificial control of the production of a pathogenically mutated huntingtin in HD, or in the development of a therapeutic method or agent against a selective neuronal cell death in HD.
