abstract An organic electroluminescent display is proposed in which the functional layers ( 20 ) are delimited by first strip-like partitions ( 10 ) so that large-area application of the functional layers becomes possible. The functional layers are on located on a first electrode layer ( 5 A) on a substrate ( 1 ). A second electrode layer ( 25 A) is located on the functional layers.
