abstract | The invention relates to a process for the purification of N-carboxyanhydrides of amino acids which is characterized in that the N-carboxyanhydrides, in solution or in suspension in a nonpolar solvent medium, are brought into contact with silica. n Furthermore, it is possible to further improve the purification by treating the N-carboxyanhydrides with an aqueous solution of an inorganic or organic acid. n The N-carboxyanhydrides thus treated are no longer coloured. |
