An improved method for providing an insect-attracting gaseous product to an insect trap is provided by using an ozone-producing unit and activated carbon so that ozone produced in the unit from air or oxygen contacts the activated carbon, producing an insect-attracting gaseous product, which insect-attracting gaseous product can be fed to an insect trap. The insect-attracting gaseous product of the invention exceeds the effectiveness of carbon dioxide alone in attracting insects. An insect trap is placed in fluid communication with the output of such a unit producing an insect-attracting gaseous product to provide an effective insect trap. |
