abstract The invention provides a method for predicting the subsceptibility of an individual to pulmonary tuberculosis, said method comprising amplifying genomic DNA of pylmonary tuberculosis patients and normal control individuals using oligonuecleotide primers, sequencing the amplified PCR product and identifying the sequence variation computationally by comparing it with the already existing sequence of human SP-A2 gene.
