An article has a plurality of raised features on at least one of its surfaces. The raised features have a form of ridges or islands. The article is made by conducting a material through the space between two solid surfaces, at least one of which has a negative image of the pattern of the raised features. Such an article serves as a substrate upon which a matrix of individually addressable light-emitting devices are formed. |
