abstract An intraoluclar refractive lens comprises an optic portion ( 34 ) with an outer peripheral edge ( 36 ) and one or more, preferably two, three or four equidistant haptic elements ( 38 ). Each haptic element ( 38 ) has the same shape, with a trapezoid or rhomboid cross-section. The edge of the outer rear surface of each haptic element ( 38 ) and the edge of the rear optic element are shaped like acute angles to prevent posterior capsular opacification.
