abstract |
The present invention relates to a complex including colloid particles having an ion exchange capacity and having attached one or more ligands with a charge and a hydrophobic domain, and one or more pharmaceutical compounds associated with the colloid particles and/or the one or more ligands, as well as a method of making the complex. The present invention also relates to methods for preventing or reducing surface absorption or for delayed percutaneous delivery of one or more pharmaceutical compounds. The methods involve applying to a surface a complex according to the present invention. Another aspect of the present invention relates to a surface coated with colloid particles having attached one or more ligands with a charge and a hydrophobic domain and one or more pharmaceutical compounds associated with either or both of the colloid particles and the one or more ligands. |
