abstract | The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical preparation for treating apthous ulcers in the human mouth, by rinsing vigorously with a pharmaceutical rinse having a composition comprising ethyl alcohol in a concentration in the order of 50% weight per unit volume and lidocaine in a concentration in the order of 1.0-2.0% weight per unit volume at a periodicity of at least 3 to 4 times daily for thirty seconds each time, followed by expectoration; or by applying the preparation in the form of a lozenge or gel directly to the apthous ulcers. |
