Disclosed herein is a method for stimulating the growth of hair by administering to a subject analogs of vitamin D 3 or prodrugs of these analogs. Disclosed are doses and routes for such analogs, as well as experimental data that show the analogs of the invention are effective in stimulating hair growth even in nude mice (BNX nu/nu mice). |
