A modified particle obtained by contacting the following (a), the following (b), the following (c) and a particle (d) with one another, n (a): a compound represented by the following general formula [1], n M 1 L 1 m [1], n (b): a compound represented by the following general formula [2], n R 1 t−1 TH [2], n and n (c): a compound represented by the following general formula [3], n R 2 t−2 TH 2 [3], n in which general formulas [1] to [3], M 1 is a typical metal atom of the Group 1, 2, 12, 14 or 15 of the periodic table, m is a valence of M 1 , L 1 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a hydrocarbon group, when more than one L 1 exists, they may be the same or different from one another, R 1 is an electron-withdrawing group or an electron-withdrawing group-containing group, when more than one R 1 exists, they may be the same or different from one another, R 2 is a hydrocarbon group or a halogenated hydrocarbon group, T in each compound is independently of each other a non-metal atom of the Group 15 or 16 of the periodic table, and t is a valence of T in each compound, a carrier comprising said particle, a catalyst component for addition polymerization comprising the same, a catalyst for addition polymerization using said catalyst component, a process for producing an addition polymer using said catalyst. |
