abstract |
A liquid ejection device comprises a flow path having an ejection orifice and a pressure chamber communicating with each other; a pressure control assembly for changing the gas pressure in the pressure chamber; and an ejection energy-generating element for giving the energy for ejection of a liquid in the flow path through the orifice to the liquid, wherein the liquid is introduced through the ejection orifice into the flow path by depressurizing the pressure chamber by the pressure control assembly. A carrier preparation apparatus comprised the liquid ejection device; a first driving assembly for driving the pressure control assembly; a second driving assembly for driving the ejection energy-generating element; a liquid holding portion for holding the liquid containing a sample; a carrier holding member for holding a carrier for fixing the sample; a moving means for moving the ejection orifice in positional relation to the liquid holding portion and the carrier holding member; and a position control assembly for deciding the position of the ejection orifice in the relative movement. |
