abstract To provide a flame retardant polyolefin resin composition having an excellent flame retardancy and enabling the preparation of a molded product free from soapiness, a flame retardant polyolefin resin composition comprises (A) 100 parts by mass of a polyolefin resin, (B) 10 to 60 parts by mass of melamine polyphosphate and (C) 10 to 60 parts by mass of a carbonizing agent, wherein the compounding ratio [(B)/(C)] of the component (B) to the component (C) (mass ratio) is in a range from 0.5 to 4.5, optionally further including (D) 1 to 30 parts by mass of a carbonizing promoter.
