abstract This invention provides compounds of formula VI n n n wherein n Y is hydrogen, methyl, methoxy, methylthio or trifluoromethyl; n R is hydrogen, C 1-3 alkyl or (CH 2 ) n Ar; n n is 0, 1 or 2; and n Ar is phenyl or methoxyphenyl, n or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. These compounds are selective dopamine autoreceptor agonists useful in treating disease states involving hyperactivity of dopamine systems. The invention also comprises intermediate compounds, compositions and methods related to the compounds of formula VI.
