titleOfInvention Monitoring of liquids for disease-associated materials
abstract A method for monitoring liquids for the presence of disease-associated materials, so as to provide a non-invasive means for the detection of various materials associated with cancer, autoimmune, neuro-degenerative and other disorders. The method provided comprises contacting a sample of the liquid with a solid, non-buoyant particulate material having free ionic valencies so as to concentrate the disease-modified or associated proteins in the sample and then monitoring the resulting disease-modified or associated proteins concentrated on the particulate material.
