titleOfInvention | Lithographic printing plate conditioner and method for lithographic printing |
abstract | A printing method includes printing an ink with a lithographic printing press having a printing plate, stopping the printing press, and applying a plate conditioner to the printing plate. The plate conditioner contains a liquid having hydroxyl functionality and a solid organic compound that is at least partially soluble in the liquid having hydroxyl functionality. The method is especially advantageous when the ink is a single fluid lithographic ink containing an emulsified or dispersed fluid phase. |
