titleOfInvention Wearable tonometer
abstract A tonometer for continuously monitoring arterial blood pressure of a patient, including a bracelet, a detection group mounted on the bracelet and arranged to detect a pressure signal. The detection group has a plurality of pressure sensors arranged to detect a pressure signal associated with the blood pressure wave of the patient. A pressure sensor is positioned in proximity of the radial artery of the patient, at the opposite side of the radial bone. A touching group is interposed between the detection group and the radial artery, and equipped with a plurality of protuberant members, each of which is associated with a pressure sensor, and arranged to be positioned into contact with the skin of the patient, in such a way to exert a predetermined force on the radial artery.
