abstract Systems and methods for treatment of neurological conditions using implantable neurostimulators in accordance with embodiments of the invention are illustrated. One embodiment includes a method for treating neurological conditions, including obtaining image data of a patient's brain, where the image data describes neuronal activations within the patient's brain, determining a location on the patient's brain to implant a neurostimulator, and surgically implanting a neurostimulator at the location, and applying a stimulation protocol to the brain at the location using the neurostimulator to treat the neurological condition. An additional embodiment includes an implantable neurostimulator configured to apply an aTBS protocol to a patient's brain.
