The present invention provides a layered lithium-rich manganese-based cathode material with olivine structured LiMPO4 surface modification and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises: firstly, preparing a pure-phase layered lithium-rich manganese-based cathode material by using a coprecipitation method and a high temperature sintering method, and then uniformly coating and doping olivine-structured LiMPO4 to the surface of the layered lithium-manganese-rich composite cathode material by using a sol-gel method. According to the present invention, the surface of the layered lithium-rich manganese-based cathode material is modified by olivine structured LiMPO4, such that cycle stability thereof is effectively improved, and voltage drop generated by the material in the cycle course is inhibited. The preparation method according to the present invention is simple, low cost, environmentally friendly, and is suitable for large-scale industrial production. |
