abstract Embodiments of the present invention are concerned with a method for producing a binder resin composition, from which a toner having excellent low-temperature fusing property, heat-resistant storage stability, durability, and image density is obtained, a binder resin composition, and a toner for development of electrostatic images including the binder resin composition. n Embodiments according to the present invention are concerned with the following [1] to [3].n [1] A method for producing a binder resin composition including the following steps (1) and (2):n step (1): mixing an aromatic alcohol A 1 including an alkylene oxide adduct of bisphenol A and at least one carboxylic acid compound selected from fumaric acid and maleic acid; and step (2): further adding an aromatic alcohol A 2 including an alkylene oxide adduct of bisphenol A to the mixture obtained in the step (1) and mixing, wherein the binder resin composition includes a polyester resin having an acid value of 14 mgKOH/g or more and 30 mgKOH/g or less, and a total content of fumaric acid and maleic acid is 700 ppm by mass or less relative to the binder resin composition; and in the steps (1) and (2), a total amount of fumaric acid and maleic acid is 95 parts by mol or more and 105 parts by mol or less on the basis of 100 parts by mol of a total amount of the aromatic alcohol A 1 and the aromatic alcohol A 2 . n [2] A toner for development of electrostatic images, including the binder resin composition obtained by the production method as set forth in [1]. [3] A binder resin composition including a polyester resin that is a polycondensate of an alcohol component including an alkylene oxide adduct of bisphenol A and a carboxylic acid component including at least one carboxylic acid compound selected from fumaric acid and maleic acid, whereinn the polyester resin has an acid value of 14 mgKOH/g or more and 30 mgKOH/g or less, and in the binder resin composition, a total content of fumaric acid and maleic acid is 700 ppm by mass or less relative to the binder resin composition, and a total amount of fumaric acid and maleic acid is 95 parts by mol or more and 105 parts by mol or less on the basis of 100 parts by mol of a total amount of the alcohol component.
