abstract The present invention has an object to develop a surface-treated powder which shows both of smooth touch during application and good compatibility with skin, and to provide a cosmetic preparation which shows smooth touch during application as well as good compatibility with skin, and is excellent in cosmetic-film uniformity and in cosmetic retentivity by incorporating the treated powder into the cosmetic preparation. The powder for cosmetic preparation resolving the problem is characterized by being surface-treated with theanine.
