In particular, the present invention relates to the administration of a pharmaceutical composition comprising palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) and L-acetylcarnitine (LAC), optionally in addition with an antioxidant compound, such as a polyphenol, alpha-lipoic acid, or L-acetylcysteine to a patient. |
