abstract Provided herein is an aqueous composition comprising an active antiperspirant ingredient and disodium EDTA, wherein the active antiperspirant ingredient is present in an amount of 0.2 weight % to 3 weight % by total weight of the composition on an anhydrous basis, wherein the active antiperspirant ingredient comprises an aluminum salt, and wherein the pH of the composition is from 2 to 5. The composition may be used as an antiperspirant when applied to the axillary area of a person.
