abstract | A method for manufacturing an optical member includes a step of applying a dispersion liquid containing particles and a dispersion medium on a substrate, a step of applying a solution containing a component to form a binder after the step of applying the dispersion liquid, and causing the solution to permeate a portion between the particles contained in the dispersion liquid applied in advance to form a single layer in which the portion between the particles is filled with the binder, and a step of drying the layer to prepare an antireflection film. The solution contains a silane-alkoxy condensate having an average particle diameter of 8 nm or more and 60 nm or less, and the solution contains a solvent having solubility of water of 10% by weight or less in an amount of 70% by mass or more. |
