abstract A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, the example method may include receiving transmit power related information from a transmitter. The transmit power related information includes at least one of a maximum transmit power, a power backoff per modulation and coding scheme (MCS) information, or an actual transmit power. The example method further includes estimating a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) based at least on the received transmit power related information.
