abstract Disclosed herein is a decoy apparatus comprising: a body (or structure) shaped to resemble at least a portion of an animal and at least a partially iridescent paint, wherein at least a portion of said body is painted such that a paint scheme is applied to said body which mimics the look and colors of the avian animal as found in nature, and where the paint is capable of emitting different colors when light reflects upon the paint. In one or more embodiments, pearl flakes are added to a clear finish coat of paint to allow for the color shift.
