abstract | A lithium reagent composition for determining lithium concentration, with which it is possible to instantaneously determine the amount of lithium contained in an aqueous solution, such as a biosample or an environmental sample, by means of a simple colorimeter or ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer and which renders a visual assessement possible; and a method and device for quantifying lithium ions using the composition. A lithium reagent composition obtained by mixing the compound represented by the structural formula, wherein all of the hydrogen atoms bonded to carbon atoms of tetraphenylporphyrin have been replaced with fluorine atoms, as a chelating agent with a basic organic compound selected from monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, and triethanolamine and producing an aqueous solution thereof that further contains a pH regulator with which the pH has been regulated to 5 or higher; and a method and device for quantifying lithium ions using the composition. |
