abstract |
A circulatory support device for an in-vivo heard includes a pump-holder that is placed in an outflow tract of the heart. The pump-holder includes an anchor that is placed in the subcommissural triangles underneath the aortic valve or the pulmonary valve of the heart in a blood flow direction. The device also includes a pump that is placed in the pump-holder. The pump may be placed in the pump holder after the pump-holder is placed in the subcommissural triangles. Once in place, the circulatory support device does not extend through the aortic valve or the pulmonary valve. |
