abstract The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of N-substituted (3-dihalomethylpyrazol-4-yl) carboxamides of formula (I), (I) in which R is optionally substituted phenyl or C-cycloalkyl, R is hydrogen or fluoro, or R is optionally substituted C-C-alkanediyl or C-C-cycloalkanediyl, R is C-C-alkyl, C-C-alkenyl, C-C-alkynyl or C-C-alkoxy-C-C-alkyl, X is F or Cl, and n is 0, 1, 2, or 3, in which A) is obtained to obtain a compound of formula (II), (II) in which X is F or Cl, Y is Cl or Br, and R has one of the above values; and (B) the interaction of a compound of formula (II) with carbon monoxide and a compound of formula (III), (III) in which R, R and n have one of the above values, in the presence of a palladium catalyst; to the intermediates used to obtain the process according to the invention, as well as how they are obtained.
