abstract | A method of manufacturing fire-resistant plywood includes the impregnation of sheets of raw peeled veneer with fire-retardant, drying them, applying glue to them, forming and pressing veneer packages, pressing the plywood. New in the method is that a 30% aqueous solution of a mixture of diammonium phosphate, ammonium sulfate and ammonium bromide is used as a flame retardant in a ratio of 1: 0.625: 0.375. Raw sheets of peeled veneer with a moisture content of 60-100% are impregnated with a flame retardant in a cold bath at a temperature of the impregnating solution for 10-70 minutes. After impregnation, the veneer sheets are stacked with the mutually perpendicular direction of the fibers in adjacent layers and stored in the stacks for 1 hour, then they are dried and fed to the operations of applying glue, forming and pressing veneer packets and pressing plywood. |
