abstract The invention relates to the industry for the production of fuel for internal combustion engines and can be used for transesterification of vegetable oils, animal fats or other triglycerides with ethanol in order to obtain biodiesel. A solid catalyst is proposed for the transesterification reaction of triglycerides of different origin with a rectified ethanol, which is type A zeolite in alkaline form. The raw materials used — vegetable oils and ethanol — are fully reducible. The resulting product meets the main parameters of the current international standard for methyl esters of fatty acids.
