titleOfInvention METHOD FOR PRODUCING PRISM LIGHT-TURNING ELEMENTS USING LUMINESCENT LIGHT-GENERATING LAYERS
abstract The invention relates to a technology for the production of fluorescent retroreflective elements used in vehicles, highways, moving objects. A method of manufacturing a luminescent retroreflective element includes the process of applying a micro-prism structure to a polymeric material on the surface of the polymer material and coating it with a luminescent film. In accordance with the invention, the light-generating inorganic material dissolved in an organic lacquer is used as the material of the luminescent film. This material has the ability to emit light in blue or green, or yellow or red areas of the spectrum under the influence of external light sources, and also has the property to accumulate light energy and then to emit within 1-3 hours after the expiration of the external light. Polymer carbonate, polyvinyl chloride or polymethyl methacrylate are used as the polymeric material of the retroreflective elements. As the light-generating inorganic material used is calcium calcium tetraoxide with the addition of diluent alumina, strontium alumina, activated by europium and dysprosium, or zinc and copper sulfides activated by dysprosium, thulium and europium. EFFECT: invention increases the efficiency of the luminescence of retroreflective elements, increases the luminescence time. A method of manufacturing fluorescent light-rotating elements involves the process of applying a micro-prism structure to a polymeric material on the surface of a polymeric material
