abstract The invention relates to the food industry and may be used in medicine or pharmacology. The claimed invention relates to the use of iodinated protein and/or iodinated low-molecular component of this protein, namely iodinated polypeptide or peptide comprising at least one of the following amino acids: tyrosine, phenylalanine, histidine, tryptophan. This iodinated component together with vitamin and mineral complex comprises the composition intended for preventing iodine deficiency. According to the invention, iodine casein or iodine lactoglobulin is used with this aim.
