titleOfInvention | A method for purification of cadmium from admixtures in ionic melt |
abstract | The invention concerns the field of non-ferrous metals metallurgy. A method for purifying cadmium and copper is carried out by electrolysis at the temperature of 430-470 DEGREE C, current density of 0.2-0.4 A/cm2 in the thin layer of electrolyte which is formed by porous diaphragm from quartz fiber being saturated with electrolyte representing eutectic liquid melt of ZnCl2-KCl-NaCl, containing in addition 8-12 % by weight of CdCl2.. The invention provides obtaining section cadmium, not high consumption of electricity and electrolyte, safety in operation. |
