titleOfInvention ETHYL-1-PIPERASINE CARBOXYLATE DERIVATIVES AS HERBICIDES
abstract New physiologically active compounds - ethyl 4-arylsulfonyl-1-piperazinecarboxylate of the formula (III), which are obtained by the reaction of ethyl 1-piperazinecarboxylate in an aqueous solution of sodium carbonate with arylsulfochlorides. The compounds have the following formula, where Ar = phenyl, 4-chlorophenyl, 4-fluorophenyl, 4-methoxy-3-nitrophenyl, 4-methyl-3-nitrophenyl, 2,4-dimethyl-5-nitrophenyl, ω-styryl, 8- quinolyl, 2-naphthyl, 2-thienyl. Ethyl 4-arylsulfonyl-1-piperazinecarboxylate derivatives of formula (III) have high herbicidal activity against mono- and dicotyledonous plant species and have low toxicity for warm-blooded animals.
