abstract A method for assessing the intensity of free radical reactions in animal cells includes the determination of lipid peroxidation products using hydrogen peroxide, sodium azide and thiobarbituric acid with fixing the final lipid peroxidation metabolite by the optical density of the colored reaction product. Hydrogen peroxide is introduced in amounts of 4-6 ml, and the evaluation of free radical reactions is carried out according to the value of the coefficient characterizing the ratio of the optical density of the test and control samples.
