abstract | The technique for assessing the borders of the ulcerous lesions in the stomach and/or the duodenum comprises the visualization of the affected tissues with the aid of the light directed from inside. First, the thin layer of the sterile aqueous solution of methylene blue (0.4%) is applied to the serosa of the organs to be examined. In 5-10 minutes, the wall of the organ is looked through. The location and the configuration of the perifocal diffuse accumulation of the stain are indicative of the borders of the ulcerous lesions. |
