titleOfInvention RECOMBINANT MICRO-ORGANISM OF SACCHAROMYCES CEREVISIAE, WHICH HAS AN INCREASED ABILITY TO PRODUCE LACTIC ACID, AND A METHOD OF PRODUCING MILK
abstract The invention relates to a recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae microorganism having increased lactic acid productivity, where PDC1 activity is inactivated and PDC5 activity is reduced or PDC5 activity is inactivated compared to those in nonmodified aldehyde, -CoA synthetase (ACS) of the microorganism is increased compared to that of the unmodified lactic acid producing strain and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) is introduced. The invention also relates to a method of producing lactic acid, comprising culturing the recombinant microorganism and obtaining lactic acid from the culture medium.
