NACAL COMPOSITION WITH SEA WATER CONTENT AS AN EXCIPIENT THAT IMPROVES SUSTAINABILITY |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a nasal composition with improved stability, its use and method of production. The nasal composition contains: xylometazoline hydrochloride (1), 0.01-0.1 wt./wt. % and ipratropium bromide (2), 0.01-0.1 wt./wt. %; and pharmaceutical excipients which are necessary for the preparation of dosage forms selected from the group comprising: nasal drops, liquid nasal sprays or nasal lavage fluids. Said nasal composition comprises purified seawater as a functional stability-enhancing excipient in amounts of 5-25 wt / wt. %. The nasal composition has an osmolality in the range of 270-820 mOsm / kg, a pH value in the range of 3-7, preferably in the range of 3-4.2 or 5.8-7.0 and most preferably in the range of 3.2-4.2, which demonstrates improved stability. |
