titleOfInvention TRANSFER TAPE
abstract The present invention is based on the discovery that rolling polyurethane can be machined on conventional rubber processing equipment and embedded in conveyor belts for heavy loads as a carrier coating layer in order to significantly increase the resistance of the tape to abrasion. It is also based on the discovery that a layer of interlayer rubber consisting of a mixture of polyvinyl chloride and acrylonitrile rubber can be used to achieve satisfactory adhesion between such a carrier coating layer consisting of polyurethane and a reinforced layer comprising steel cords which are embedded in polypropylene . In any case, the opening of a method for incorporating a polyurethane layer on / into the upper surface of the conveyor belt as its carrier coating can be used in accordance with the present invention in the manufacture of conveyor belts for heavy-duty applications, such as the extraction of iron ore and copper ore which have increased resistance to surface abrasion. These tapes, respectively, have a longer service life, reduce production time, reduce costs and increase overall production productivity without adversely affecting the health or safety of workers and without adversely affecting the environment. The present invention more specifically discloses a conveyor belt consisting of a carrier covering layer, a layer of interlayer rubber, which is located immediately below the carrier cover layer, a reinforcing layer comprising steel cords embedded in polychloropropene, and which is located immediately below the layer of interlayer rubber, and rubber , which is located immediately below the reinforced layer, and the bearing coating layer consists of a rolling foam urethane rubber. The layer of interlayer rubber will usually be an admixture of polyvinyl chloride and acrylonitrile rubber to achieve good adhesion between the carrier coating layer and the reinforcing layer. The invention also discloses in another embodiment a conveyor belt consisting of a carrier covering layer, a reinforcing layer comprising a tissue enhancer coated with resorcinol-formaldehyde latex, and located immediately below the carrier coating layer, and a rubber layer located immediately below a reinforcing layer, and the bearing coating layer consists of a rollable urethane rubber.
