abstract The present invention relates to a device for fractionating a pumped slurry of liquid resin containing solids obtained by the coking process, with the direct use of the isolated dry residue contained therein; said device consists of a centrifuge placed in the upper inner section of the coal container; said centrifuge has a nozzle for liquid resin containing solids, and an outlet nozzle for liquid resin centrifuge and, in addition, has an outlet opening at the bottom for the dry residue contained therein, whereby the dry residue containing the resin, obtained from the resin suspension, does not require any transportation. The invention also relates to a method for fractionating a pumped slurry of liquid resin containing solids and, using a device according to the invention, provides for the use of the separated dry residue contained therein, without the need for its transportation, and further relates to the use of coal. mixed with the specified dry residue.
