abstract The invention relates to an oxygen-permeable cylinder having two walls connected to each other along each outer edge of two walls, each of these two walls comprising: a first film defining the inner wall of the balloon, the first film containing a thin flexible film which is permeable to oxygen and impermeable to liquid; and a second film adjacent to the outer surface of the first film and having a plurality of perforations. The invention also relates to a container for the transport of living microorganisms, which contains a rigid outer container and an oxygen-permeable container.
