abstract | The method for producing epoxy resins includes condensation of epichlorohydrin with diphenylolpropane in an alkaline medium in the presence of a cocatalyst, distillation of unreacted epichlorohydrin from the reaction mass, dissolving the resulting product in toluene and its dehydrochlorination, washing with water to remove impurities, and subsequent distillation of toluene to obtain pure toluene. A dilute aqueous solution of oxyethylated alkylphenol taken in an amount of 3-4% by weight of diphenylolpropane is used as a condensation cocatalyst. The cocatalyst is introduced simultaneously with the introduction of diphenylolpropane. The condensation of epichlorohydrin with diphenylolpropane is carried out at 65-67 ° C. Dehydrochlorination of the resulting resin is carried out in two stages - first at a temperature of 40-45 ° C for 1-2 hours, then at 45-50 ° C for 0.5-1.0 hours. |
