abstract | A method of treating tropical malaria in persons from the non-malarial zone is carried out by the use of drug therapy. On the basis of clinical and laboratory research individually determine the further tactics of treatment with the use of the following regimens of antiparasitic therapy: in 1 day of treatment - artemeter intramuscularly 160 mg once a day; on day 2-5 - 80 mg once a day, and doxycycline - 100 mg 2 times a day, the second regimen contains quinine dihydrochloride 600 mg intravenously in 400 ml of 5% glucose solution three times a day for 3 x days. Then patients take artesunate orally according to the following schedule: on day 1 (4th anti-parasitic therapy) 200 mg twice a day, 2-5 day - 100 mg twice a day. 3 tablets of sulphadoxine / pyrimethamine are administered as a single-dose therapy after both treatment regimens. |
